This morning, VoiceLabs announced they are exiting the voice analytics space and selected Dashbot as a preferred partner for migration.

At Dashbot, we are excited to welcome VoiceLabs users to our platform.

Since we launched in May of 2016, we’ve processed more than 23 billion messages across Alexa, Facebook Messenger, Google Assistant, Slack, Kik, Telegram, and numerous other conversational interfaces.

Jesse, Dennis, and I started Dashbot to solve a problem we ourselves had — gaining insights into how our chatbots were being used so we could increase user engagement and retention, and build a better bot experience.

We are very bullish on the conversational interface space.

If you recall all the videos of two-year-olds swiping iPhones and iPads, the same thing is happening with devices like Alexa and Google Home — kids already know how to interact with these devices.

What particularly excites us is how much richer and more actionable the data is compared to web and mobile. It’s all unstructured data. On some of the platforms, users can send whatever they like — images, audio, video, stickers, and more. More importantly users are sending their own words, their own voice, saying exactly what they want from the chatbot or voice skill, and what they think of it afterward — which sometimes isn’t too pleasant, but leads to interesting actions you can take, like a live person take over of sessions going awry.

Our backgrounds are particularly well suited for this. I previously founded a mobile analytics company I sold to Nokia. I went to MIT with Jesse who co-founded a social gaming company that relied heavily on analytics, which he sold to the Game Show Network. Dennis went to Cornell, worked for a lot of big data startups, and sold his most recent startup to eBay.

We continue to see an increase in interest in chatbots and voice assistants across all industries — media, entertainment, retail, travel, local, banking, CPG, and more.

We created easy, step-by-step instructions to help VoiceLabs users with the transition to Dashbot — including importing all the old data into our platform.

Once transitioned to Dashbot, the users will have access to even more reports and functionality including:

  • Live transcripts
  • Multi-modal support
  • Alexa Skill ranking comparisons
  • Cross platform metrics
  • Conversion goal tracking
  • Message funnels and behavior flows
  • Tools to take action on the data — like our alerts, live person takeover, and broadcast messaging
  • And more!

We’re here to help — we look forward to working with you!

In addition to our platform, we try to help the ecosystem learn and share with one another to move the whole space forward, through meetups in SF and NYC, data insight reports, and our Super Bot Conference. We hope to see you at one of future events.
