New Crazy Telegram Update — Payments For Bots, Instant Views Platform & Telesco.pe 🤖 🚀
Yesterday Pavel Durov shared an Instagram Story with the preview of a blog post about upcoming Telegram update.
And guess what…?
Payments For Bots Are Finally Here!

To make this happen, they are going to launch Bot Payments in the next update (hopefully next week).
It’s happening!! 😲
What Are Payments?
Basically Bot Payments is a way for bots to accept payments from their users worldwide.
In detail, it’s a new platform for payment providers from all over the world, where they can connect to the platform.
How Do Payments Work?
Currently most of the payments are handled by Stripe.
As Bot Payments platform will roll out, there’ll be an additional way to do that via Telegram.
How to Accept Payments as a Bot Developer?
When accepting a payment from a user, Bot developer can choose between all available payments providers, selecting the one already used by the payer or the one with the lowest commission.
This is super cool because of transparency. You can choose the most suitable provider, not an overpriced one.
Each payment goes directly from the user to the bot developer. Telegram does not take any commission from the payments and doesn’t profit from these transactions.
They also don’t see or store the credit card data.
This makes it impossible for Telegram to handle complaints or cashbacks.
The disputed payments will be dealt by the bot developers, the payment providers and the banks.
How Do I Start With Payments?
Payments will be open for everyone in the next Telegram update.
If you’re reading this after the update has been launched, don’t be surprise if a bot adds a pay button or something you can order from it.
Once you tap Pay, you be asked to fill in the credit card information (only once) and confirm the payment.
After filling the credit card info, ordering stuff from bots will take only two taps!
Telegram is an open platform, so bot developers can implement the necessary APIs and accept payments from users as soon as the update will be live.
I’m extremely excited about this and gonna test it as soon as possible!

Telegram is about openness.
They do not control payments by themselves.
As for us, we’ll do what every sheriff has to do: kill the bad bots and award the good ones with a badge. We’re sure there’ll be plenty of good ones.
